Caribbean Sydney is proud to have hosted the inaugural Caribbean Riddim Weekend. Over 3 days we had 3 exciting events.

Caribbean Riddim Weekend 2019

Day one

The weekend started with a “Welcome in White party”, on Friday evening, this was an all white party, patrons dressed in all white as they filled the venue, the even, welcome in white, featured International Dancehall artist, Kranium whom came to shell down the place.

Day two

Saturday evening Sydney went wild and it turned dirty with paint, inside the “Dance in Paint” event, our international DJs were amazing keeping the vibes going throughout the evening. The event is called “Dance in Paint“, after the Soca song by artist Bunji Garlin, Trinidad & Tobago.  But also called dance in paint because it is dancing with your personal paint bottle, and splashing yourself and others, this concept of event is styled after the famous J’ouvert event in Trinidad & Tobago.

Day three

Sunday the whole crew, and revellers had the chance to cruise the Harbour in Carnival costume. On board the “Carnival Candy” cruise. We gained the presence of one of Houstons (USA) finest DJs Silent Killa  (followed by a sneak after party). The Caribbean Riddim Weekend pass holders descended on the Sydney harbour dressed in Carnival attire, some in full blown costume and some in carnival styled/themed costumes. It was a blast.

We’d like to say a big thank you to all whom attended. We had a lot of interstate attendee’s and  that was really awesome, it made this event feel like a big family.

sDJs: Veyn Boy (Bay Area/Virgin Islands), Silent Killa  Puerto Rico/Houston), DJ Jel (Trinidad & Tobago/Brooklyn). DJ Daiky (Japan) & DJ Fasmwa (Suriname/Sydney). Big up to Artist Kranium & DJ L Bully.
